The All-on-X “Smile Reset”: Your Top 5 Questions Answered

If you are considering a full-arch restoration, you’ve likely seen the terms “All-on-4,” “All-on-6,” or “All-on-X.”
In 2026, this technology has become the gold standard for replacing a full set of teeth.
However, because it is a significant investment, patients often have specific concerns.
Here are the top five questions we hear at our Winter Garden studio, answered by our Prosthodontist, Periodontist and Dental Anesthesiologist team.

1. What is the difference between All-on-4 and All-on-X?

The Short Answer: “X” simply stands for the number of implants that best fit your bone structure.
The Detail: While “All-on-4” is the most famous version, some patients benefit more from 5 or 6 implants (Allon-6) to provide extra stability, especially in the upper jaw where bone is naturally softer. At Sapphire, we don’t believe in a “one-size-fits-all” approach. Our Prosthodontist, Dr. Yoo Jin Chung, uses 3D digital planning to determine the exact number of “X” implants needed to support your unique smile for a long term.

2. Is the All-on-X procedure painful?

The Short Answer: No—thanks to advanced sedation.
The Detail: This is where Sapphire Dental Studio stands apart. Most clinics offer “laughing gas” or a pill.
Because we have a dedicated Dental Anesthesiologist, Dr. Michael Walbom, on-site, we can offer upto deep IV
sedation or general anesthesia. You will essentially “sleep” through the procedure and wake up with your new
smile, often with little to no memory of the surgery itself.

3. How much does All-on-X cost in 2026?

The Short Answer: In Central Florida, a high-quality, permanent All-on-X restoration typically ranges from $20,000 to $45,000 per arch without sedations.
The Detail: Beware of “bargain” dental implants. The price varies based on the materials used (such as high-strength Zirconia vs. acrylic) and the expertise of the doctors. Investing in a Board-Certified Periodontist like Dr. Curtis Dugas to place the implants significantly reduces the risk of costly “implant failure” down the road.
At Sapphire Dental Studio, a case fee including IV-moderate sedation can range from $28,000 – $45,000 per arch, depending on the difficulty of the case (Sinus, Bone availability, Medical complications, etc.).

4. Can I really get “Teeth in a Day”?

The Short Answer: Yes, most of the patient will leave our office with a functional, beautiful smile on the day of
surgery.
The Detail: We use digital “Same-Day” protocols where temporary bridge is virtually designed and 3D printed
while you are sedated. While your implants are healing into the bone (a process called osseointegration), you will wear a high-quality temporary bridge virtually designed and 3D printed while you are still sedated. Once the surgical sites have fully healed (3 months healing time), we swap the temporary for your final, hand-crafted
Zirconia masterpiece.

5. Why should I choose Sapphire Dental Studio?

The Short Answer: Multi-specialists working together for you for Accuracy and longevity!
The Detail: All-on-X is a complex architectural project for your mouth. A Prosthodontist has three additional
years of training specifically in tooth replacement. When you combine that with a Periodontist’s expertise in
bone health and a Dental Anesthesiologist, you aren’t just getting “new teeth”—you’re getting an excellent
result designed to last years.
